Hollywood North actress Sandy Sidhu lands role in high concept CBS drama pilot ‘Intelligence’

VANCOUVER – Last year was a jet setting and eye opening year for local Indo-Canadian actress Sandy Sidhu, having shot a guest star role on Primeval: New World in Vancouver, starred in a warming short called Heart of Hearing opposite Breakaway’s Vinay Virmani in Toronto, and finally flying to Mumbai with Bollywood knocking as Rakeysh Mehra had tested her for his upcoming feature Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

And 2013 has also began on a high note for Sidhu as the American netowork CBS has cast her as ‘Amelia Hayes’ in their upcoming pilot “Intelligence” for 2013, starring Josh Holloway (Lost). Intelligence is centered at U.S. Cyber Command and focuses on a unit that has been created around one agent (Holloway) with a very special gift — a microchip has been implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The pilot is created/executive produced by Michael Seitzman, exec produced by Rene Echevarria and Tripp Vinson and directed/exec produced by David Semel.

Dedicated to portraying the true human condition of every character she envelopes, Sandy is a rising star and is regarded by many as the next up and coming South Asian actress to look out for. Credits include Stargate Universe, Shattered, Afternoon Tea (film), Heart of Hearing (film) and Primeval: New World.
